You each walked into a classroom, with several tables and chairs over a usual setting of desks. But there seemed to be no teacher, but a name was written on the 'black board behind the teachers desk. "Midori-sensei, Infiltration. 1-0-1"
Under the name and Subject, was only one simple instruction. "Take your seat!"
Ten minutes into the class and a young woman spoke, sitting on a fileing cabinit in the back of the room. "Alright kiddies. shut 'yer traps and listen up!" She smacked the wall by her, being her file cabinit was in a corner to get the attention of the few who didn't listen.
"Now. This class is a core class, you NEED to be good at this in order to be an effective spy so I'll have no slackers-got it? This class is between the lunch periods, so its hte longest one. As long as you obey my rules Your time here will be plesent.."
The young woman sighed lightly, crossing her left leg over her right, in her dark green suite, it was one you'd wear to go on a mission, a stealth suite. Her hair was dirty blonde and cut to her shoulders, neatly clipped behind her ear on the left side.
"Your first assignment is to come back tomorrow with your book for this class. But how do you get there. By means of infiltration. We'll see whos good and who isn't by the number of books brought in. I've already spoken to our Librarian, she won't check them out. You must get in without her knowing and get out just as quickly. This is a Fifty(50) point assignment.
[The bell rang, cutting her off]
"Dismissed!"

Post by Aaralyn on Aug 16, 2006 12:56:27 GMT -5
That night Aaralyn crept down the stairway from her second floor dorm room. The wooden stairway CREAKED loudly. She froze, listening. It was after hours, and she knew if she was caught she would face dire consequences. Aaralyn had never really done this sort of thing before. She had never snuck out/snuck into anything before. Reaching the main entrance to the common room, she eased the door, which was blessedly silent, and crept across the cold dew-wet grass. Her Karate training had taught her to walk silently, but karate and being invisible were totally different. Reaching the old brick building that was the library, she noticed one of the windows was open. Stupidly, she crept over to it and eased herself inside. Hitting the cold tile floor, she dropped into a shoulder-roll before standing up. She straightened up and turned and found herself facing… the old, wrinkled and cracked face of the librarian, inches away from her own.

MeiMei was very good at this sort of thing, so when she herd the assignment, she let out a snicker in her bit of arrogance. "Alright. Sounds easy enough."
[After school hours, night time.]
She stood outside the building. 'Hmm..' She said inwardly as she noticed an old looking ladder. 'I found my way in..' She climbed up this ladder, taking the extra steps to be sient about it, she entered a vent for the air, carefully army crawling slowly through the vent.
She dressed thickly for this so she was silent about it. She finally could look down and see the shelves of books and she smirked. "time to make sure I don't get caught.." She said under her breath and reached into a pocket on her jacket, pulling out a marble sized ball. She was good with herbal mixtures so she knew it'd work.
Dropping the 'marble' through the vent, the glass of the so-called marble shattered, releasing the herbal fumes through the library. The smell was powerful, but safe, a mild knock-out gas. She kicked the vent off and quickly dropped down and snatched a book, running right out the back door and back to her dorm. "Phew.. Heart rush much.." She said, sliding down againsed her dorm room's door.

Being invisable and sneaking up on people is what i do, and i dont even have to try. This will be way easy... Harem thought. once class was over she sneeked in the libary in broad daylight. She never cast a shadow and her pressence was like a flittering breeze. as she walked throught the libary, She looked up the books she needed in dewy sytem and took them. she tucked them in her coat pokets and exited the libary.

Nathan listened closely to the teacher as she spoke, wondering if she had been there all along, or if she had snuck in after they all were seated. He wrote down the assignment in his notebook when they got it, and then drummed the pen slowly against the paper. How to go about doing this best?
'I could try to sneak in there in the middle of the night', he thought. 'Only, they've probably made sure there are alarms all over the building by then - it's a school for spies to be, after all... so they should know more than a little about security.'
Once class was out, he went to the library, checking it over. He could see a way to climb in, but that way was probably filled with alarms. The main entrance was totally out of question by night... but perhaps not by day? He studied it thoughtfully, and as he did so, he noticed one of his classmates trying to sneak out with a book, making the alarm go off. High security.
During break, he sat with his notebook, trying to think of a plan, as well as during the rest of the day. Once his last class was over, he had a plan. He got some tin foil from the kitchen and clothed the insides of his schoolbag with it. There, at least sneaking out a book should be possible now - if only he got that far.
Nathan made his way back to the library and went inside. He found the books pretty quickly, but unfortunaly the librarian seemed to never leave them for very long. He studied the book titles on a shelf not far away while trying to think of how to get to the books. Luckily, another student choose that moment to ask the librarian where a certain book was, and when they went off, Nathan snuck the book down into his bag and grabbed a book on cryptography from the next shelf. It all went so quickly he even surprised himself.
Once the book was safely down in the bag again, he headed for the check-out desk. Surely the librarian wouldn't think a student would be foolish enough to face her while trying to sneak out one of the books? His heart raced, but when the librarian got there, he just grinned a little wryly at her.
"This book has more about Vigenère ciphers, right? Only, I thought they seemed interesting when our teacher talked about them, and..." he broke off a little, seeing as the librarian didn't seem interested in chit-chat - but she didn't seem to suspect him of sneaking out books, either. He took the book once done checking out and headed out. His heart was still beating hard as he neared the doors - what if he was wrong about the aluminium foil being able to fool the detectors? But, no, not a beep sounded as he went out, and thus, he now had the book!
Once back in his room, he collapsed on his bed, hoping the next lesson would be about how to deal with nerves during missions.

He waited till after ours, like most people did, just going in the front door and back out, whacking a person over the head with this textbook, I suppose you'd call it a grounds keeper..

Post by Fredrick Nova on Sept 1, 2006 20:55:28 GMT -5
Sitting at a table near the back of the library, Fredrick waited until there was a long line for checking out books. He'd come in last evening and figured out what book he was going to use for his plan, but now that it came to it, he was nervous. As soon as the time seemed right he picked up the green-covered book he'd been pretending to read and walked as casually as he could to where the infiltration books were kept.
He looked around and picked up the book he needed, pretending to drop the green book in the process. He bent over to pick up his fallen book and while he was down he pulled out a small razor blade and some tape. It was the work of a few minutes to switch the covers of the books. He knew he'd be in serious trouble if he was caught defacing school property, but he was hopeless with things like vents.
Once the infiltration book was safely in the green cover, he put the other book back on the shelf. Quickly, he scanned through the pages to make sure someone hadn't already tried his trick, but it was the right one. Then, with as much courage as he could muster, he went up and joined the line to check out books.
The librarian didn't glance past the barcode and library card pasted to the inside cover of the book, and she passed it over the scanner so it wouldn't set off the alarms when he left. Feeling triumphant, Fredrick left the library with book in hand and hoped his actions wouldn't come back to haunt him.

Ai walked into the classroom and looked around. There was no teacher. Her eyes then caught what was written on the board. She grabbed the nearest seat and sat down. She had sensed a presence behind but decided to wait it out. She could sense no malice directed at her or anyone but just the person observing.
Ten minutes later the person who was the teacher she realized decided to announce her presence. She did not jump when the wall was smacked loudly. She listened attentively at what the teacher was saying. The teacher was strict thus Ai decided it was best not to cross her anytime soon.
When class was over and night time came. She walked out of her dorms and climbed into the air vents that she noticed led to the library. Somehow she managed not to make a single noise. When she reached the library. She jumped out of the airvent and landed lightly on her feet like a cat. She quickly ran to the shadows hoping to the lord above that no one heard her. She started hopping from shadow to shadow lightly on her feet. Finally she saw the section on infiltration. She took the book and covered it in blackclothe so it would blend in too. WHen she turned around she saw the librarian back facing her. She knew she would get caught if the librarian turned around. So swiftly she ran to the librarian and quickly pressed a pressure point on her neck that would knock a person out. It was so fast that the librarian did not stand a chance. She decided that if the librarian was knocked out she could walk out of the front door. So she did that.
WHen she was back in her dorm she heaved a sigh of relief. SHe did not caught and technically she was not seen. So mission success. Looking at the book in her hand she decided to read it. She unwrapped it and sat down on her bed and started reading it. It was night time but she could not sleep with all the energy rushing through her.

Post by Brig on Feb 17, 2007 11:12:35 GMT -5
Brig listened to Midori-sensei, heard her assignment, and grimaced. She hated this sort of thing. All day, through the rest of her classes she thought about it, and all the way through dinner while she picked at her food. Coming up with a plan, she took the blonde girl aside (she thought her name was Dacy or Tracey or Stacey, but she couldn't quite understand her when she'd introduced herself earlier.) But, anyway, she took her aside and invited her to come along with her to the library. Reaching there, she located the book she needed - in a stack behind the librarian's desk - and asked D/T/Stacey if she would ask the librarian to show her where the Harry Potter books were, while she was in the 'bathroom.' She hated tricking the girl, but she had to get this book! The girl was led away by the librarian, and Brig headed toward the bathroom, detouring behind the shelves and heading back toward the desk. She could see the librarian through the shelves - her and the blonde girl were talking animatedly - it seemed that the librarian was a Harry Potter fan as well. Brig smiled, grabbed the book, and tucked it in her shirt. Reaching the bathroom, she locked herself into a stall and took out the book. She hated defacing a book, but she ripped the barcode off it and flipped through it, searching for any other way that she could get caught. Satisfied, she stuck it at the bottom of her bag and wrapped it in her gym clothes - she planned on heading to the practice arena after this. Heart pounding heavily, she joined the librarian and the other girl, still animatedly discussing Snape's innocence in front of a poster advertising the release of the seventh book. Wiping her wet hands on her shirt (to prove she'd actually been using the bathroom), she joined in the discussion, arguatively defending Snape. Two hours later her and the girl, who it turned out was called Dacy, left the library with the complete released Harry Potter series and a notebook of the librarian's fan fiction they were to read. The book was still safely in her bag.

Yentla walked to town and searched the shelves of the bookstore, hoping to find the book there. Finally she asked the friendly owner - the woman grinned and said "I'd hoped someone would come here! I always keep a few copies around for students who have lost - or destroyed - their book and need to replace the library copy." Yentla smiled shyly, paid the woman - dropping her change into the jar on the desk for the AIDS fund - and walked quietly back to school, glad there was no hassle, though still feeling like she cheated.
