Name: Mata (has no last name)
Age: 16
Appearance: Very dark-brown hair that reaches a bit past her shoulders (which is nearly black), lightly tanned skin, very dark-brown colored eyes. Mata usually wear dark clothing but sometimes she goes to wearing white, blue, purple and green. And even dark shades of those colors. Once in a while she will wear a bell that is attached to black silk. And she does NOT like to wear bright clothing or girly things.
Skills: She specializes in writing, reading (vocabulary), Tae Kwon Do, and memorizing things many people cannot. Mata can make friends with anybody and it doesn't matter what their social status (and such) are. She can quickly think of a strategy to win, especially with video games. She's not good at very much else but she plans on discovering more since there are many things she has not yet tried.
Family History: Mata's family is everywhere. Some live in Hawaii, some in Texas, Portland, Florida, etc. She never really talks to any of them except for her two uncles (one used to be in the Marine and the other in the Navy), two aunts, 4 step cousins and one blood related cousin. She lives with her mother and little brother Thomas.
She does not know the whereabouts of her Father for he left before she could catch a glimpse or even have the time to remember his face. However, her mother's boyfriend said that he has met her father before. Half of her did not care, because of her father her mother had to care for two children by herself without any physical or emotional support. But the other half felt like searching and seeing if her father was alive. She wanted to see him at least once before he or she, herself, dies.
Mata grew up to her present age, enduring and surviving through all sorts of pain - emotional and physical as well. Her mother often took out her anger on her, and her brother too. But now her mom has cooled down and only yells or screams at her. Often, the pain she cause was by herself - crashing into garage doors, tripping over her own two feet, running from a dog because she had made it angry and ended up falling on he face as well as scratching her palms and knees. Many things like that.
Some of it were by coincidence or people that liked to pick on her. The people who pick on her may not know that they hurt her when they do, but it does. But she doesn't do anything about...and just laughs it all off and goes along with it.
Personality: Despite her past and style of clothing, she is very bright and fun to be around. She's always cracking jokes and pulling a prank every now and then (only when she knows it won't hurt anybody). Mata always has a smile on her face despite the situation. May it be her friend yelling at her or complaining to her about insignifacent things such as breaking a nail. But she can't keep it up forever. There are times she locks herself in her room and cries. Because of this, she never really talks about her personal feelings or opinions unless it was nesseccary.
