She smiled after twirling in her happiness one last time on her own heading torwards an un occupied table she took her seat carefully, smoothing her dress down once after sitting.

Fredrick watched her head to the table and went to the long buffet. He grabbed two small plates and filled them with assorted little treats. Tucking some napkins under his arm, he found two cups of punch and carried it all back with him to where MeiMei was sitting.
"I got a little of everything," he said, sitting beside her. "Are you having fun so far?"

"Mhm." She nodded with a smile. "I haven't even had this fun at a j-rock concert." She giggled lightly, then a slight thougtht that the concept of j-rock may have confused him, she was prepared to explain if she'd need to. She took a small sip of her punch.

Fredrick looked confused as he ran through the list of artists he knew. He'd never come across someone called J-Rock before. Of course, what he knew about popular music was actualy pretty limited. He'd never been to a concert that wasn't orchestral or choral in nature, though he did enjoy what he heard on the radio. Whoever J-Rock was, he wanted to know.
He felt embarrassed at being so out of touch, though, and considered his options while he nibbled at a small piece of chocolate cake. He could fake it, of course, pretend to know what she was talking about, or he could play it off as some sort of flirt. No, neither option really suited him..stupid truth.
"I've never heard of J-Rock," he finally admitted. "Is he any good?"

(Here comes the senceless fun, being shes technacally 'Japanese')
She couldn't help but let out a small laugh.
"J-Rock ins't a 'He' it's a jahn-ra of music I've grown up with. the J, shorten-nig the word Japanese. The En-glish translated Lyrics for songs are pretty much where I learned most of my english.."
She cleared her throat lightly. "As for the concerts, I've only been to a few." She giggled. Most people at this school would look at me even more strangely if they knew that little tid-bit.
"Its to re-mem-bur to speak english ev-ry day, tho' I'm think-king you probally wouldn't relate to that li-tle issue."
She sighed lightly feeling she somehow messed up in her english right there. But why, she could speak it fine moments ago.
She blinked, glancing down, after seeing a few traces of confusion on his face. "Gomen-ne.." She murmered, Her mind had drawn blank for the english way to apologize for the moment.
(xD I couldn't help it don't yell.)

Fredrick cleared his throat and nodded. He felt pretty dumb at not understanding what J-Rock was, but he could tell he'd flustered her as well. He'd been to Japan before on a tour and knew an apology when he heard one.
He reached across the table and took her hand, squeezing it lightly.
"Hey, there's no need to be sorry. I wouldn't even know where to start speaking your language, so I think you're pretty amazing to have gotten this far." He was unconsciously imitating her accent as he had been most of the evening, and cleared his throat again to stop himself in case she thought he was making fun of her.
"Some day you'll have to let me listen to some of this music. I know so little about popular music and I'm pretty sure that would make me stand out if I ever went on a mission where I had to be around other people our age." He smiled at her across the table and looked around again. "I bet everyone in here has things they'd rather not everyone else know about them. At least yours are pretty harmless things."

Her teal eyes crossed for a second and narrowed as she blushed for a second. She blinked and shook her head once. "All Right."
"Tho' you may not under-stand many of the lyrics." She smiled faintly, she knew his accent wasn't a mockery of her own so she took no offence to it, in fact she giggled over it.
"I think I have a couple Cee-Dee's" She sort of glanced up, as if she were trying to think which ones she would have brought to the school.
After a moment she glanced back to Fredrick, nodding. "Fred-rick..san " She sliped sort of and ended up using an honorfic. "Not all things about me, are 'harm-less' " She slipped down into a whisper.

Fredrick raised his eyebrows and leaned forward, still holding onto her hand. He could barely hear her over the music and the noise of the crowd, but he was pretty sure what she was going to say next would be interesting. He'd often wondered about the pasts of his classmates. Obviously, some people had been through a lot of grief already, and his own aching loneliness seemed a small thing in comparison.
He lowered his voice to match her volume. "Like what?"

"My father is what people in America would call a 'Contract killer', though in all actuality hes a 'Nin-ja' I was raised in those methods.. fighting.. even murder is second nature to my family.."
She continued to whisper, her gaze went down, she hated to admit to that fact of herself, and she didn't talk about it, she was confused as to why she was even mentioning it now.. did she feel she could trust him..?

He blinked in amazement. He'd known she was very well trained in martial arts, but to have a hit man as a father was pretty intense. Of course, when he thought about it, it made sense. He nodded slowly, wondering how to respond.
All he could think about was whether or not she had actually killed someone before. He didn't think she had, she had a temper but he couldn't imagine her actually killing. Still, it was a possibility. His first real date, and it was with a potential killer. He took a deep breath and reminded himself that they were all here to learn things that could force them to kill someday.
"Well," he finally managed, still speaking softly, "that's pretty exciting, I have to admit. We can't choose our parents, of course, but in a place like this I can't imagine that having a dad like yours would be something to be ashamed of. After all, you've got a real advantage over the rest of us...and you don't have to kill, do you?"

"Sadly, I have no say in the matter there.. if my father should fail.." Her voice trailed off for a moment. " I..I could be summoned to complete it.." She lightly sighed.
"Its no fun really.. not as much..as its made-out to be.." She said in anwser to the question sh could read from his expression. "Kill-ling that is.. Person-ully I hate it.."
She knew most people would doubt she'd have a problem with it, being she had such an explodive, hot temper, and from the 'incidents' in her hant-to-hand combat classes.

Fredrick swallowed, she -had killed, then. He felt like a child when compared to her, but at the same time he felt sorry for her, having been forced by fate into a life she didn't care for.
"Then, if you hate it so much, you shouldn't do it. I'm not doing what my parents do, even though my father's not speaking to me right now because of it. I mean, I know it's not quite the same, playing a cello and...killing people...but you don't have to be what your father is just because you're his child. Take what you learn here and change your life, if you want to. I'll help, if you want. There are lots of things you could do with your skills and talents."

She smiled. She thought his offer was very nice, but she didn't want to tell him she really had no choice in it.
She had nibbled lightly at the plate of food. She never really did eat much so it was normal for her.
"How..?" She questioned after he mentioned helping her.

He twisted his mouth up as he thought. He had an idea, but he wasn't sure how she'd feel about it. Instead of answering right away he got up from his chair.
"Are you ready to dance again?"

"Sure." She nodded, standing up carefully, stepping from the table, allowing Fredrick to lead he back onto the floor.
